A concept fintech app that turns financial anxiety into confidence, one screen at a time.

01 · The Problem

People don’t avoid money.
They avoid feeling exposed.

Finance tools ask for the most sensitive information a person has, often without saying why, then scatter their money across apps they can’t see as one picture.

Users abandon at the exact moment they’re asked for an ID or SSN and the product gives them no reason to feel safe.

Even after sign-up, people can’t answer “Am I okay?” or “Am I getting closer to my goals?”

Trust. Clarity. Control

Three principles were the filter for every decision. If a screen didn’t serve one, it didn’t ship.

Trust is a feature

Security shouldn’t live in a settings page. It should appear where the anxiety actually happens.

Clarity beats density

Show the right thing first. “How am I doing?” should be answerable in under a second.

Control builds confidence

When people can see, adjust and undo, they stop fearing the product.

decision 01 · onboarding

Sell safety before asking for anything

Onboarding opens with three short stories instead of a form: security, smart investing, then full control. Security leads on purpose. It’s the biggest barrier, so it’s the first objection answered.

Each slide pairs a headline with visual proof, and users can skip, because respecting time is also a trust signal.

Make sensitive steps small, and explain every ask

Sign-up is split into single-purpose steps with a progress bar and “step X of 7”, so users always know how much is left.

Every request for data is paired with a reason and reassurance.

The SSN step gets a “Why do we need this?” sheet: the legal reason in plain language, then three direct answers to what we never store, how data is protected, and that we never sell personal information.

One Home.
One Answer.

Home leads with a single number: total balance, with today’s movement beside it.

Quick actions sit beneath, then portfolio performance and an AI insight that suggests what to do next.

Accounts steps up to net worth, assets versus liabilities, so users see their whole position instead of isolated balances.

Turn Savings into momentum.

A house down payment, an emergency fund, a vacation: each goal gets a progress bar, a target and a timeline.

The goal detail shows the savings journey as a growing chart with contributions and interest earned.

Easy to stay in control.

Sending money is deliberately short: pick a person, enter an amount on a
large keypad, confirm.

The confirmation restates who, how much, from
where, the fee and the speed, so nothing surprises users at the moment of commitment.

Consistency at scale is what makes a product feel trustworthy.

73 screens, one source of truth. A system a development team could pick up and build from.

Color with meaning

A calm dark base. Blue is action, green is growth, purple is investing. Amber and red are reserved for warnings. Color is never decoration.

Two typefaces, two jobs

Sora for readable interface text. A monospaced face for numbers, tickers and data, so figures align and scan fast.

Predictable components

Five button variants, consistent inputs, status badges on one repeatable rule, and a defined radius and spacing scale.

Motion with purpose

Spring physics for interactions, staggered list reveals, celebration for milestones. Motion confirms and rewards, never just decorates.

It’s a concept, so here’s what I’d test with real users, starting with moderated sessions on onboarding and send-money.

Does leading with security improve completion versus leading with features?

Does the “Why do we need this?” sheet reduce hesitation at the SSN step?

Do users read AI insights as helpful, or as noise?

Does the health score motivate people, or make them anxious?
